About Astrosophy
Astrosophy is a new star wisdom, (Greek - astro = star; sophy = wisdom), developed by Willi Sucher from the 1920's until his death in 1985. He was inspired and informed by the knowledge imparted by Rudolf Steiner and his collaboration with Dr. Elisabeth Vreede. It encompasses a broad spiritual knowledge of the nature of the human being in relation to the cosmos which is also solidly based on astronomical realities. Not only does it expand and deepen the traditionally geocentric perspective of the human biography on Earth, but includes a new spiritual perspective on the heliocentric cosmology and even points to a future beyond the heliocentric cosmological model.
This site is dedicated to the further development and dissemination of his foundational work.
What is Astrosophy?
Astrosophy is rooted in the idea that the stars and planets are not just distant celestial physical bodies but part of a meaningful ordered cosmos of conscious spiritual beings in which the human being is an essential and pivotal member. The human evolutionary journey to individuality and freedom requires a modern spiritual understanding of our relationship to the starry cosmos that honors our changing consciousness offering a new perspective. This approach, inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner and pioneered by Willi Sucher provides this new knowledge that can help us discover the deeper meaning of our relationship to the cosmos in the present as well as into the future.
